Horizontal Zoom ?
Horizontal Zoom ?
Hello guys,
Just got my pro license of resonic, seems awesome so far !
Missing one basic thing though, or I'm a missing it ?
How do I zoom horizontally ? It is very crucial when needing a small portion of a long record.
Is it not implemented yet ? ... alt+scroll would be ideal.
Thanks for your help.

Hey, had to sit down and formulate it properly since this is definitely a contender for the FAQs, so here you go:

Hope that clears it up a bit

A user interface is like a joke: if you have to explain it, it's not that good.

Sweet ! Thanks for your answer.
I'll love to see that implemented one day
I use this software everyday now, it's very handy.
Not much else to report now.. except maybe :
- I join the opinion of one guy that said the little dot to catch to drag and drop is a bit tiny.
- I'd be happy that the listening volume could go over 0db to play some sounds louder when needed.
(e.g the DAW session is going and you want to pre-listen some samples that were recorded not really loud)
All the best.

Both makes sense, yep. The dot will eventually change into a region.lebarde wrote:- I join the opinion of one guy that said the little dot to catch to drag and drop is a bit tiny.

Hey, just wanting to let you know that horizontal zoom won't be on the horizon for a while since we are still super busy with database/metadata.

Bringing up an old dream that is still hoping to happen one day.
Using Resonic a lot to go through my self made collection of sounds, but sometimes I have long large recorded sessions and would like to just grab a small bit, quickly and precisely.
As I understood it would slow down the whole design of resonic having to decode too much data from the audio files ?
Wouldn't it be possible to activate the function only when asked by the user for this specific file ?
I wouldn't need myself any big resolution in this zoom function, just to be able to select 3sec of audio in a 1h file in an easier way.
Just a call, thanks !
