Have base source code cross-platform for easy port

It would be great to see resonic across different platforms, linux desktop and android in particular.
Having the base of source code able to work on different platforms would be essential for future developments if you choose to open up to different platforms.

Would definitely be nice to have it available to use on my secondary OS, Fedora...

Some parts are already being written with portability in mind, but just to be clear, a native Linux version is not planned at this point.

MacOSX is a real possibility though, which heavily depends on how sales of the Windows version go.

Eew... OSX... You have no Idea just how annoying it is trying to troubleshoot issues on those OSes compared to Linux.

OSX has a market for the Pro, which costs a lot of money, development-wise.

There is an impressive market on Linux as well... It's just not well publicized as it violates the "free and open source" feeling that many are trying to go for. Ubuntu has lots of paid-only programs in their repositories, and there are plenty of paid-only repositories all over the place for Fedora.

You also might be interested to know that Linux users are more likely to pay more than other platform users if given a choice.
