No sound using Resonic while other players work fine

I'm frustrated and will likely quit using Resonic player even though I quite enjoyed it while it was working. At first, I had no trouble with the player. Then, I would have this issue where it was obviously playing a file but no sound was coming out. I was able to get sound back but now I'm having the same problem again and can't find a way to get sound back through my speakers. Oddly, it will play through my monitor speakers, but who wants that? Also, music plays just fine through every other player. Just Resonic. And who wants to spend their day trying to fix a recurring problem? I actually made this my default player because I like it so much. So very frustrating. Another thing, sometimes, while fiddling around, it would start to play through my speakers but it'd be choppy and low fidelity. A real head scratcher. At the beginning, it sounded great and even played SACD files.
