DATE MODIFIED doesn't work correctly

This is a fantastic program. Never crashes, always works.
One issue I'd like help with: I display music files by DATE MODIFIED, which works, but for some strange reason every file automatically gets rescanned every day as having been accessed, which totally messes up the listing order.
Any thoughts what is going on here and how to fix it? Thanks! Charles Carr
