Network drives
Network drives
Hi,
I am trying this software for the first time.
Using Windows 8 Pro.
For some reason, in Resonic´s browser I cannot see my network drives. Or, should I say, I cannot see their directory structure, as I can with file browsers or other players. (I CAN see their Music folders, but this is not what I want.)
Am I doing something wrong?
I apologize if I should have posted this question in some other part of the forum, but I am not sure where.

Re: Network drives
The folder browser is custom-made, it might not support network drives fully in its current stage.
I'll let Tom answer that better, he knows if it should work or not.

By network drives I assume you mean plain network paths mapped to drive letters?
Could you attach a screenshot to your reply?
Running Win 7 here, no problems with network drives though (see attachment).
But then again, as Andreas said, the browser is custom-made and there usually are some things off that need improvement.
Absolutely no need to apologize. I moved the topic to the 'Support' forum.I apologize if I should have posted this question in some other part of the forum, but I am not sure where.

A user interface is like a joke: if you have to explain it, it's not that good.

Re: Network drives
Ok, let me see if I can explain.
Two pictures attached:
Capture2 is what I get through Resonic (similar to what you showed).
Capture1 is what I get through a browser.
This is what I would like to access. As you see, in my networked FT-MEDIAPC I have two folders Music1 and Music2 (which are in two different hard drives) where I store all my music.
I cannot find how to access them with Resonic.
Thanks for your attention.

Hi!
Any news about this?
I keep on using VLC, but would love to shift to Resonic.

Re: Network drives
The next update corrects this and the browser will be a little more customizable in terms of what is being shown (e.g. show network items, hide libraries, etc.) so the user can decide what he wants there.
Not sure about a release date yet, but there are usually a couple of pre-releases (beta forum) before that.

Re: Network drives
Ok, thank you. Look forward. Once network items become accessible, I would like to be a beta tester, if I may. Before this, there is no point, since I cannot listen to my music.
Would you allow me to become a tester?

Re: Network drives
Of course.
I've added you to the group and the beta forums should be accessible for you now.

They are now, thanks. Looking forward to a pre release, then.
