Measures/Beats Timebase

Hi!

Some files can have an embedded BPM metadata (like .WAV for example), when present it would be nice to be able to show a quarter note timebase bar, based on the embedded BPM metadata.

And allow to snap the cursor on 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, etc. notes! It would be so easy to select a specific section of a loop and export it! See the image. Of course the bars would be divided in 4 equal spaces.

Maybe we could just click on the "Beats" word to switch to a "Time" scale and vice-versa?

Thanks!

Yeah, good one. I've put it on the idea list, now to brainstorm a bit about the UI integration!

Nice, keep em coming :) They bump certain features to the foreground again.
There is a lack of room on the transport toolbar at the moment, especially on smaller screens, which may only apply to a small fraction of Pro users. But still, it would make more sense to move features like this somewhere else, where they are quickly accessible. I like the idea of 1/4, 1/8, etc. cycle on button presses.
