I suggest getting rid of the dot and spaces in the file name,
with firefox the file type is unknown (application/x-octet-stream) and with ie the download isnt trustworthy.
Allready tried to clear my cache..

Replace spaces with _ might help, as it's only detecting a binary file (Resonic) and not specifically an exe (Resonic Setup 0.58a.exe).
With Firefox it downloads as "Resonic", not the complete filename with .exe.
I think it works if you just put .exe at the end.
However, works with Google Chrome, gets Resonic Setup 0.58a.exe when saving.
Also, PHM: Some users couldn’t be added as they have disabled private message receipt.

With internet explorer I'm able to download as "Resonic Setup 0.58a.exe" but
then ie reports the download as not trustworthy (publisher not verified)..
A bit uncomfortable
(for the users and for Tom..)

I'll have to buy a signing certificate for this to go away.

Ah ok, then I misinterpreted the ie-alert-messages.
Then only the message "this filetype might corrupt your system, you want to download it eitherway?" (..roughly)
was related to the spelling of the .exe and the second message to the certificate-issue..
Works now, exactly!
