Hi there,
I think it could be nice, if the user had an option he/she can enable / disable for the following behaviour:
When the search bar / field is closed, the text will be deleted as well.
At least I find it a tiny bit annoying that I have to delete the search text after reopening the search field. To make a new search with my suggested option enabled you could just reopen the search bar to make a blank new search.
Maybe some people would find it usefull as well?
All the best,
Manu

There's no need to explicitly delete the search text by pressing the delete or backspace key. When reopening the filter, the whole text is selected, so you can just start typing in your new search term.

That's right, but because that doesn't help with CTRL-F toggling we'll also have a "Clear filter on panel close" option in 0.9!

A user interface is like a joke: if you have to explain it, it's not that good.

I did not recognize it, wow, thanks

Wow, thanks for this! By the way: did you check your mail? I sent you an e-mail some days ago, asking for a licence.

Stupid me! Sorry for that and no problem.
Normally I am the one arguing about clients just using the "Re: subject" title in nearly all mails and now I am doing it on my own, haha ouch, sorry!
