Another fussy cosmetic idea would be to move/add "explore folder" (from the file list) to the browser.
One could then explore folders in the browser and files in the file list.

Re: Explore Folder
Yep, it's basically just the context menu item missing at this point. I'll put that in asap.
But, you can already press CTRL-ENTER to explore the current file, or CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER to explore the current file's folder.
See http://resonic.at/docs/shortcuts

Explore Folder (minor addendum)
Thanks for implementing "explore and select this folder" so far.
This comes in handy if you want to cut/copy/delete whole folders in the explorer
without navigating to them in resonic internally (and their file lists and context menus to open them).
But..
.. opening folders (should have been a bit more specific in my last request) directly,
would be just as important as explore and select.
In my case my folder structure is more or less static and I rather have to move files from one folder to another.
For now I've to click once more to open the folder
Browser and File List highlights disappear onRightClick.
Unless <this folder> in the context menu isn't a place holder,
I suggest to replace it with something along those line:
Bookmark <"folder name">
Open <"folder name">
Explore and select <"folder name">
..................................................
or/and fix the highlighting
Maybe an adaption of the browser and the file list context menus would make sense for the sake of simplicity.
I don't know if it is semantically correct or possible, maybe..
Browser//
Open
Explore and select
File List//
Open
Explore and select folder
Niggles, niggles.. Keep on coding the important stuff

Re: Explore Folder (minor addendum)
It's been over a month since the last release and I've been in a hurry to finish what I started to get the release out of the door. So I haven't spent much time on this topic.PHM wrote:But..
The issue with the selection disappearing is a side-effect of the totally customized list, which I'm basically working on all the time. Eventually I'll fix it, but it's not that urgent right now as it doesn't break things. Still, all your points are valid! So rest assured, I'll be looking into this much more. Noted all of your suggestions!
The open folder item I'll be adding pretty soon.
Besides, come on and join the testers group and grab pre-releases off the beta forum. We discuss their changes individually there, then change things again if needed. A good place to turn suggestions into features fast.
