Polyphonic playback
I know it's complicated task, but this is why more technical artist start using Pure Data or Supercollider. I have seen people from field-recording group on Facebook interested about Resonic. So this is where sound collage comes in, because sometimes we just want fast and simple preview how different soundscapes fit together.

I agree, this would be a handy addition. Was thinking along the lines of stem playback...
