It would be nice to have different keyboard shortcuts to jump forward/backward by different time intervals.
Further, these intervals should be user-settable.

For example,
LeftArrow and RightArrow: jump by 5 seconds
CTRL+LeftArrow and CTRL+RightArrow: jump by 10 seconds
ALT+LeftArrow and ALT+RightArrow: jump by 30 seconds

Where the amount of the jump should be user-settable.

So most likely starting with 0.9.5 (Alpha builds in testing now) there will be a seek step system that can be freely configured with quite a bit of flexibility, depending on file duration even, and individually for different modifiers/mouse wheel. (ref: "seek steps")
