You guys are brilliant
I'm working day and night - literally - to fix the worst parts and get a first build ready, which - please bear with me - surely needs some more time to finish before I can hand it to you.
But let me explain
the goal of this upcoming pre-Beta test run a little more:
As you know the rewrite that Resonic has been undergoing for the last couple of months is enormous. At least half (!) of the program is being rewritten, huge parts are being added, and, as I mentioned before, the goal here is to try and restore functionality and stability up to a point where the Beta behaves almost exactly like the last Alpha. This is really important. While at first glance it's just the user interface that might look a little different it's all new under the hood, and this needs serious testing.
The first few builds that I'm about to post here can be expected to be pretty broken, as in many features and functions are still missing / are not restored yet, the interface might behave weirdly, or look broken or incomplete. But that's okay. I've decided to no longer hold back half-broken builds (or what's the point of testing...) and let you guys just try out the current work in progress. Some essential bugs might come to light...
That much being said, your reports are an invaluable help and keep reminding me (I should say "us"... explain soon) about the pressing issues, about what needs to be done next. This project is getting really big, the idea list is piling up, and I'm convinced that this will blow many people's minds once it enters official Beta/Pro territory and a regular and more frequent update cycle.
Let me say again that your help is really appreciated!
Tom
