It is mostly tied to what the soundcard can do at the moment, while the display limits have been set to generally practical values. We'll have to see about rewriting some parts to allow for a bigger shifting range! Noted

It was an issue with Windows Installer: if a file date is in the past the file is deleted (!) from the system, which should never happen. We've fixed this shortly after.

Re-download the 0.9.1 installer from the website, we've fixed an odd issue with that file and updated it.
Alternatively you can simply re-run the installer and click "Repair". (This info is now part of the dowload page.)

This is indeed an issue that seems to be new in 0.9: a few file list playback mechanics have changed, so it's clear why this is happening. Playback should never start the first time around. I've put this on the 0.9.2 todo.
