Re: Drag and drop support?

kloosterj wrote:Check, it's all clear now. Just wanted to know how to drag&drop. Didn't read the screenshots too well, i'm afraid. Only thing that's missing now (for me, that is) is drag&drop for multiple files. Thanks for the explanation!
That's a priority for one of the next releases!

Re: Sample rate vs. audio drivers

If Resonic was going to try to handle all cases itself, here is how I would expect it to behave That sounds about right. Still, this is very tricky. Because you are most likely talking about a single-sound card setup, like most users have. There are certain cases where output is locked to a fixed s...

The fine monkey is right.

No ETA on file list drag & drop, but it's on priority.

Re: Sample rate vs. audio drivers

Hey there! Let me cut right to the point :) Resonic - not Windows - is currently resampling all audio material to 44.1kHz using a pretty good quality SRC, which seemed like the most compatible approach for the alpha version. And even though there'll be a high-resolution SRC option this won't stay li...

Re: Play Count ?

Hey :) Read support for ratings is done already, and it's also very compatible. But I'm holding back the feature until rating writing is done as well, or people might wonder what's going on here. Regarding rating reading, Resonic currently interprets these ratings: standard ID3v2, Windows 7/8 Explor...

Re: Praise, and some feature suggestions

Hey Jan, nice to finally have you around here! :) Just tried Resonic for the first time, for audio sample management purposes. There's a lot of sound libraries going on here. But I must say, I really love Resonic! Glad to hear that! Thanks for the suggestions! Most of them I do already have on my id...

Re: Couple of issues

I take that back. For no apparent reason it suddenly works now. Maybe it just needed a break. ;) Sorry. No prob. Not sure what the problem was there, but I haven't experienced this issue so far. The Library issue persists though. Yeah, I've located the issue already. Not sure how to solve this yet,...

Re: Couple of issues

Hey and welcome :) Windows 'Library' folders are not displayed correctly. It ignores the top-level folder in 'Libary' and only shows subfolders, ignoring any samples in the top level folder. I'll look into that. I get an "unsupported file format or corrupt file" on all wav, flac and mp3 files. In ot...

Re: MP3 Decoder

The file disabled the internal MP3 decoder. Resonic then uses the operating system's MP3 codec, ie. the same one being used by WMP.

Please keep the file for a bit, I won't be including this in the next updates as it only works on Windows 7 and 8.

Re: Rescan-button becomes hidden

Yeah that's the next thing: right-click stop on waveform.

It's kinda nice and fast, but later there must be some kind of menu. I guess I'll just make this an option later.

Re: Rename Shuffle to Random

That's a good point, since I didn't get round to writing good shuffle code yet.

Good shuffle should play the whole list once (unless on repeat), shouldn't play duplicate entries, and the back/next buttons should work in shuffled order as long as the shuffle button isn't depressed/pressed again.

Re: [Bug] Rescan-button becomes hidden

Not a bug, it is intentionally hidden because it won't fit anywhere in the bar and it's not that important a button to be always visible.

The button will probably move into the menu for later versions as it's seldom used.

Re: MP3 Decoder

@Max:

Please download the file attached to this post and unpack it into the Resonic installation folder, overwriting the existing .dll file (which should be smaller now), then tell me what you hear. This won't work on Windows versions older than Windows 7 though.

MP3 Decoder [Solved]

Moved here from Facebook : Just to inform you that Resonic MP3 decoder output is sounding very dull. Resonic wav output is perfect. I work in the Mastering domain and I have compared the MP3 output of Sound Forge, WinAmp and Windows Media Player and they all giving me the real sound of the MP3 excep...

Re: Default Programme / File Association

Thanks! Sure I'll be providing a way to associate Resonic with its supported file types, but for now it's really not high on my list for the alpha version right now as users can always - as you did yourself - associate the files manually. Icons will be a different cup of tea, that'll be quite some w...
