You are probably using a DirectSound-ASIO wrapper like ASIO4ALL, right? When another application is using the sound driver exclusively Resonic cannot access it and therefore not start playback. I'll definitely look into OGL again at some point. Right now, reworking the file list from ground up with much improved multi-threading and multi-playlist support. Maybe one of the most annoying parts, but then again, which part isn't. If this goes according to plan it should boost the folder change...

It's taking its time, but it's going well. Really pushing towards the Beta now.
I've improved the overall graphics related stuff, which cleans up an incredible lot of the internals.

Are you on a dual core CPU?
Resonic scans the waveforms when you switch files, even if the waveform is hidden. This has already been improved and will be gone in the next release, i.e. it will only scan if the wave is actually visible.

I can not seem to use the shortcut "Alt+Num +", either it does not work or my keyboard does not support it, no dialog box ever appears. Sure you pressed ALT and the + or - key on the numpad?
