Now the transport panel is above the waveform panel. One has to restart Resonic to get the panel order back to normal.

Re: The super-shiny GUI mockup thread
Thanks, I tried to apply some changes again. Maybe the theme is still to bright and the contrast isn't right either, but I'm no expert :geek: And I incorporated a bit more color - don't know if this fits in very well.. Just some advance information: The theme system in Resonic will allow for live re...

I refined the dark theme a little bit.. And attached the svg file (contains additional mockups: with waveform and without // original theme and dark theme) created with Inkscape . In case anyone else wants to experiment a little bit. The svg is a bit messy, but I still wanted to share it.. Tom, can ...

Re: Alpha 999 Download
Ah ok, then I misinterpreted the ie-alert-messages.
Then only the message "this filetype might corrupt your system, you want to download it eitherway?" (..roughly)
was related to the spelling of the .exe and the second message to the certificate-issue..
Works now, exactly!

With internet explorer I'm able to download as "Resonic Setup 0.58a.exe" but
then ie reports the download as not trustworthy (publisher not verified)..
A bit uncomfortable (for the users and for Tom..)

I suggest getting rid of the dot and spaces in the file name,
with firefox the file type is unknown (application/x-octet-stream) and with ie the download isnt trustworthy.
Allready tried to clear my cache..

Re: 7422 - Alpha 999, Release 0.58a
I don't know if you are aware of that "Show folder in Explorer" (File List) always opens the folder in which the currently playing file is located and not the folder one is browsing. Because you already fixed "Show in Explorer" for inactive files, chances are that this is a redundant consideration.....

Noticed that navigating with the arrow keys results in a different focus behaviour than navigating with the mouse (light blue). Is this intentional?
Log with after slow-shutdown also attatched.
And I'm really liking the light gray which is highlighting the "active" list-column.

Thanks, I really like the Loopyfruits colors, too :) Honestly, I only thought about the basic player version, when I came up with the idea.. I expected that a resonic pro user wouldn't disable the waveform and that (in case the resonic window should be smaller) the user would rather scale the wavefo...

Re: Hidden waveform: alternative position for the level mete
Yes, I used Gimp and Inkscape. No skinning or programming involved ;) Copied most of the colors from some preview img of v12 of the DAW with the big orange fruit logo.. thus my effort wasn't that big... I think Tom is right, that the themes (eyecandy) are not important in the first place. But maybe ...

The super-shiny GUI mockup thread
I saw your Q on Facebook and I came up with the idea to put the level meter inside the volume slider (when the waveform is hidden).

What do you think?
And would this even possible to implement?

Compact seek bar / listening mode
I just want to emphasize the importance of a compact seek bar (lab #0000009). After using Resonic for a while now, I wish I could hide the visualization while listening to music (maybe even the possibility to seek through tracks). To see which and where musical information is in a file is very pract...

Explore Folder (minor addendum)
Thanks for implementing "explore and select this folder" so far. This comes in handy if you want to cut/copy/delete whole folders in the explorer without navigating to them in resonic internally (and their file lists and context menus to open them). But.. .. opening folders (should have been a bit m...

Re: Analyser Slope
In the end I wanted to express something along those lines.. From a psycoacoustic point of view, the most relevant analyzer is one that shows pink noise as flat (no slope), since this relates more closely to the auditory system, which is akin to a band of one-third octave frequency. with the followi...

Re: Analyser Slope
Well, the former is the correct way of representing the spectrum and I'll likely be sticking to it for now as it matches my reference tests with most popular analyzers, including the one in SoundForge, WaveLab, and Waves PAZ. I didn't know that all the other analysers use a slope of 0dB/octave and ...

Another fussy cosmetic idea would be to move/add "explore folder" (from the file list) to the browser.
One could then explore folders in the browser and files in the file list.

Analyser Slope
Currently white noise results in a flat spectrum curve (equal power per frequency band). While listening to sound files with a full spectrum - full as perceived by the ear - and a high amplitude, the low frequencies peak at the top of the analyser window - sometime higher than the peak meter itself....

Folders containing only folders..
.. don't generate any result in the file list (..because there are no files )
Any plans on showing the content of all the contained subfolders instead?
(like the browser in the Cubase MediaBay)
I assume that RAP would become to slow by indexing all files..
OT: The Bookmarks are great! Thanks!

In comparison to the WMP12 icons they just don't show the file type.
