Re: ASIO builds (Pro only)

I've just seen we've got a rename now in the new version, thanks for that. Really held me back from doing a few bits with resonic, but it's a great little player, so didn't want to abandon it totally. Going to make things much easier/quicker now. Quick Off Topic Q if you see this @Tom: Is it possibl...

Re: ASIO builds (Pro only)

Have you implemented rename yet?

Re: It seems I'm not able to select columns any more

Reinstalled, nah - seems to be when you get the right click menu up it doesn't respond to any clicks, the waveform window below responds instead, annoying as I'd reset the columns to default for some reason too & can't get them back.

Yeah, I'll give that a go and report back, cheers

Windows 7 x64 bit by the way

Also I had customised some Columns before so it could be an application data thing, I guess

Re: Vertical zoom work in progress

Scale up low-amplitude data, or scale down >0dBFS data (e.g. clipped 32-bit float content). Yeah I gather how vertical zoom works from 20+ years of using audio editors and what you might use it for, it's a visual aide for the most part, but that usually works in both x and y - just seems bizarre yo...

what's this for in practical terms? and also without having an horizontal zoom?

trying to bend my head around why I'd want such a feature.

Re: Simple way to rename files in Resonic Player-?

I mostly have used bulk renaming in the past for collections of photographs, lol - where I name a series of photos with the name, followed by a numbering scheme of 01 through xx. Having 01 through 09 with the zero in there is important when listing the renamed files alphabetically. The bulk renamin...

Re: Simple way to rename files in Resonic Player-?

Yep, been after a simple rename in resonic for so long, such an utter basic requirement for sound work.

Really would like to use resonic more, but there are more efficient & quicker ways for now.

Aha, just found a lingering process running in task manager that was stopping me deliting the database files - so that's fixed the 2nd thing

Resonic Beta Could not start & explorer restarting on d&d

Dunno if has been posted, lots of posts to go through win 7 Pro, x64 - latest v of Resonic (downloaded again a week ago) Quite a few times dragging wavs out of Resonic & dropping into a folder (on another drive in this instance) crashes explorer so explorer restarts itself while resonic stays open t...

Re: Invisible FOlders on Windows 7 x64

(nice to see I'm not th eonly one to use Rainbow Folders /d) :) Folders that have the system attribute set (which seems to be required for custom icons using a desktop.ini file) were treated as hidden. Will be fixed in the next release. Ah, bingo Thank you, more is the worry at my end, I'd trashed ...

Re: Invisible FOlders on Windows 7 x64

Like this, the folders that are transparent are ones that don't show at all in normal view, had to use CTRL + H to see them, view them & use them in Resonic.

Funnily enough I used to colour my folders with rainbowfolders a long time ago

Re: Invisible FOlders on Windows 7 x64

oh I see, those usually are hidden files anyway no?

I had problems with actual folders being hidden

Don't use rainbowfolders any more but I believe it just sets a hidden .ico file with a desktop ini (which are also usually hidden system files)

Re: Invisible FOlders on Windows 7 x64

Just popping in to confirm this one is still about, I did mention it before the beta came out but couldn't for the life understand why it was doing that, tried renaming changing file names etc but couldn't pin it down sure I wasn't using rainbowfolders on these ones either & trashed the desktop.ini'...

Yeah, that's fair, these things all to often can be rushed, I'm grown up enough to understand that I'm def using this though, & keeping an eye out - even if atm I'm working around it by randomly deleting bits & cussing the screen, I probably shouldn't have had so many samples in the first place :lol...
