Restoring from a minimized state should be faster than initially starting Resonic. It might get slightly faster in the next release, we changed method by which multiple instances communicate with each other.

You can get bitperfect playback using WASAPI in exclusive mode. Kernel streaming was deprecated a decade ago, there's really no point in supporting it.

The behavior when clicking folders that are not focused is by design - you wouldn't be able to switch between folders without inadvertently expanding/collapsing them otherwise. At the moment you'd have to use the filter feature to do this. That is, (recursively) scan the folder containing your samples and then configure the filter to search the comment field.

Right, in case of a freeze there won't be a crash dump, so detailed information on how to reproduce the bug would be most helpful there.

Mapping drives is the "right way" for now, but it's possible that Resonic is trying to access too many at once, which is problematic when it comes to network connections. We'll be looking into this.

That's to be expected due to the missing drop result information, I was wondering about the minimize feature only. It's probably not possible to cover each and every conceivable scenario.In every case the drop into the playlist did not stop the audio.

Resonic only minimizes on drop, but not on drag. It should minimize on drag, too. You need to stop moving the cursor for about half a second while hovering over the target window. There's no need to explicitly delete the search text by pressing the delete or backspace key. When reopening the filter, the whole text is selected, so you can just start typing in your new search term.
