Alright, I managed to narrow down the issue. I tried on a different computer and it works fine. So an idea came to my mind. I switched the audio output from my sound card (Asus Xonar DSX) to a HDMI monitor's sound output and it works, but not with the sound card. It might be a driver issue on my end...

After copying the new files to the default installation folder, resonic can't play any files and displays the following error: "Unsupported file format or corrupted file".

Everything is fast and smooth. A strange issue happened though: after installing it I could not scroll with the mouse (in the browser and file list). After restarting Resonic mouse scrolling started working again.

No real difference here at all, sometimes they're slower, sometimes faster, without any reasonable explanation, but there's one strange thing I thought I'd mention: When I first started the -d.exe, closing it was instant (tested on 2 computers). Definitely an issue with excessive writes. It's not even noticeable on an SSD (since they can handle more simultaneous writes than a HDD).Andreasvb wrote:A little theory here... My disk at home is not on SSD.

Now I have the slow closing problem (on my PC at work) discussed in the previous thread. Something I noticed in the Windows Resource Monitor is that Resonic writes a db-journal file on several different threads, even after the application window is disappeared for a few seconds.

No matter how I try, I can't reproduce this behavior. Sometimes closing Resonic is not instant, but certainly not slow as shown in the video Andreasvb posted.

It was probably a network related issue, I couldn't really reproduce it. My best guess is that i had a momentary disconnection or something that prevented the proper streaming of the file. While listening a long flac file the spectrum analyzer stopped working. Both spectrum analyzers were empty, but I could still se the waveform. Only restarting the player fixed the problem. Screenshot attached:

The resume playback option is great, but I think there should be an option to prevent the player to actually resume playback, but resume to the position with paused state.
